Part 2: The Elixir of your Wedding Glow… Antioxidant-rich, High Protein Snacks

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and looking and feeling your best is a priority. In part one of this post series, we went over the importance of water. Up next, we have a smoothie recipe to add to your elixir.

Choosing healthy snacks in preparation of your big day is a great way to keep your energy up
and give your wedding day glow a boost. Something high in protein and antioxidants would be
the ideal choice, and this smoothie has both.

Matcha Green Tea Smoothie Recipe {Gluten-Free, Vegan}

Total Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 4 smoothies

Ingredients

  • 4-5 cups almond milk
  • 2 tbsp matcha green tea powder
  • 2 tbsp hemp protein powder
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 2 tbsp dried mulberries
  • 4 pitted dates
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed meal
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Stevia powder to taste, optional

Instructions

  1. In your blender, add the almond milk, green tea powder, flaxseed meal, hemp powder and almond flour. Follow by adding the dried mulberries, ice cubes and dates. Add the stevia, if desired.
  2. Blend until all the ingredients are well combined, for about 30 seconds. You should obtain a homogeneous mixture with the consistency of a smoothie. Serve immediately.

Notes

Alternatively, you can freeze this mixture in popsicle molds for a frozen treat. They are perfect for hot summer days.
